At Fellside we believe that our children and young people are not the church of the future, but an important part of the present. As you will see from other pages on this site our Sunday morning worship is suitable for all ages and during the service the children and young people leave for their own activities, returning towards the end of the service to share what they have been doing. We have a crèche for children aged 4 and under, a 5-11 year olds group. Both of these groups meet in the downstairs hall. For information about either, please contact Kay Zwolinska. Our teenagers meet in the upper room for discussion and games. Both groups follow the Light material from Scripture Union.
As well as our Sunday morning activities, we have a number of cell groups for our young people as well as mid week youth groups and a variety of uniformed organisations.
Our youth cell group meets each Sunday from 7.30pm to 9.00pm at a variety of members homes. In recent weeks we have looked at issues such as flirting, friends, marriage and tattoos and body piercing.
As a church, we follow the Methodist Church's Safeguarding Children and Young People policy and in line with national policy, are in the process of getting all those who have contact with children CRB checked. Part of this policy will require the parent / guardian of all new members to complete a information and consent form which will be available on the first week. These forms will need to be completed and returned before the second week.
If you would like more information about any of the activities currently taking place, or to be kept up to date with future activities, please contact youth@fellside.co.uk.
